About Juliet
Owner of Juliet Lofaro, Portrait Photographer
A born and raised New Yorker, I began life in the city and moved to Woodstock in time for my 5th birthday. A third generation "picture maker", I spent my formative years here, where art abounds and constant contact with nature made the picturesque tangible, perceptible, and ever present.
After taking my first classes during high school at The Catskill Center for Photography (Now CPW), I studied formally at NYU Tisch School of the Arts. During this time I developed my working style on film sets, where I became efficient in finding the moments where I could quickly connect with my subjects.
After NYC, I hopped around a bit and returned to Woodstock with my kids and opened a studio. My favorite part about being back upstate is all the interesting people and ever changing scenes. Portraiture brings a chance to connect and I promise to find beauty in everyone who walks in.
