Founder + Creative Director of Namai

Bianca Kuttickattu is the founder of Namai, a label rooted in vintage textiles, craftsmanship, and her multicultural heritage. Raised in England and Canada to artist parents, she was drawn early to second-hand fashion and the beauty of reimagined fabrics. After studies in London and Paris, she worked as a footwear and accessories designer for fashion houses such as Celine, Acne, rag & bone and Vince. The speed of the luxury industry eventually led her to seek a slower and more sustainable way of creating.

In 2020 she founded Namai, returning to handwork and to the tradition of repurposing antique Indian saris and quilts. Through Namai she offers garments that are one of a kind, created with intention and respect for the artisans involved. Her work reflects both a global design education and a deeply personal mission to make clothing that carries meaning as well as beauty, and leaves the world a more joyful place. Bianca works and lives in Kingston, New York.
